The DAZA OptiSCAN PLUS is a wireless sensor designed to monitor patients at risk of falling or rolling out of bed. Positioned on the floor near a care bed, the OptiSCAN scans a 90-degree quadrant, ensuring quick detection when a patient begins to exit the bed. With a guide on top of the device, safe and optimal placement is easy.
The sensor triggers within a fraction of a second, alerting caregivers as soon as the patient’s foot approaches the floor, giving them advance notice to prevent potential falls. Ideal for fall prevention, the OptiSCAN also alerts in roll-out-of-bed scenarios, ensuring patient safety.
To avoid disorienting patients, the device does not sound an audible alarm near the bed, reducing stress and preserving balance.
