The design is a single replacement mattress with alternating air cells. Castellated foam fingers are welded inside the air cells. These are then placed on top of a layer of high quality pressure relieving foam. This design offers a high degree of patient comfort and can be used stand alone or stepped up with the addition of a pump unit.  

Being a direct replacement for a foam mattress, without any straps or special bed requirements, this is the ideal mattress for use in a users home and with a maximum user weight of 254kg this is a very flexible system for community use. The high quality Dartex, fully welded top cover is both multi stretch and vapour permeable. 

The base has several unique features, one being the vapour permeable material used to construct it. This prevents a now common problem with hybrid systems of pooling. Pooling is when the vapour inside the mattress cover condenses and collects inside the cover in a small puddle, which in turn contaminates the foam mattress. Built in cable management ensures cables are kept away from the floor. The system is simplicity itself to use, being ‘Plug and Play’.  There is a single pressure settings button to adjust the pressure from low risk to high risk. Apart from this the system is completely automatic and a comprehensive set of systems alarms warns the patient of any issues.
